Depression

Depression is the world’s most common mental health problem. We can help you to prevent or overcome its difficulties.

Depression

What is depression?

Depression negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. It causes feelings of sadness, apathy, and/or a loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work and at home.

Depression affects over 300 million people worldwide but despite its frequency, depression is often left untreated.

Treating depression quickly and effectively is crucial to prevent it from worsening. Prevention programmes have also been shown to reduce the chances of developing depression in the future.

How can DeskClinic help?

Our self-assessment questionnaire will give us knowledge on the extent and severity of your depression, allowing us to connect you with an experienced psychologist who will conduct counselling sessions with you at your convenience. These sessions can focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Physical Behavioural Therapy, traditional counselling or an approach using many of these methods.

At DeskClinic we also promote healthy ways of thinking with a focus on preventing susceptibility to depression. Our methods for promoting this include self-help videos, specialised exercises and articles.
