What are eating disorders?

Eating disorder is an umbrella term referring to a mental health disorder that affects thoughts, emotions and behaviours associated with food. Common eating disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder.

Our resources to tackle eating disorders cover a range of methods and we will provide you with the most appropriate treatment depending on your responses in the self-assessment questionnaire. This treatment will include contact with a mental health professional whose sessions can focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and/or traditional counselling.
